Ntoroko has great tourism potential. The main attractions are the rift valley, the forests and the Semuliki National park, Mountain Rwenzori National and Semuliki game reserve. These locations have a wide range of rare animal and bird life as well as many species of butterflies.
The district has a diverse land cover including swamps, mountain ranges, game reserves, forest reserves and grass. The steep slopes of Mt. Rwenzori ranges (forest reseve) characterise Karugutu and Nombe Sub Counties with smaller hills (farmland) spreading into the flat plains (grazing land).
